Happy Halloween!

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!

It's been busy the last few weeks, but we finally had time to carve PUMPKINS!!!!
I am happy how mine turned out!! It took a while, but I finished it.
Justin carved his pumpkin into just a regular Jack-O-Lantern.
I think it turned out really good, but he thinks it looks like crap.
But here is a picture of mine Lit Up.

Hope You All Have A
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Catching Up!

A lot has been going on the last few weeks. So I thought I would try to remember and catch up the blog.
Start with the beginning, I got bored, and talked Justin into letting me decorate for Christmas.
(I have no Halloween Decorations, and no money to buy some)
Maybe Next Year.

I love Christmas Time! Even though it is still 2 months away.

A couple weeks ago, I had a job interview with the Church. I was so excited to get the chance.
I went into the interview so CONFIDENT, but that made me over-confident.
I MESSED UP! I was so upset, I cried! So I was hoping they saw potential in me, enough to give me the job. They told us it would be a week and a half before we found out if we got the job, So I was expecting the agonizing wait, just to be told I didn't get the job. But to my surprise, I got a call 2 days later saying I got the job!

So I have spent the last 2 days in Training and my first official shift starts at 9pm tonight!
I am very proud of myself.

I haven't had a job in almost 2 years. So I am not out in public very often, So after training on Monday, I came home, and started sneezing and coughing, Yup, Came home with a COLD!
Time for some Emergen-C!
But, I won't let the COLD keep me down! BRING IT ON!

Pic of me on my way to Training.

Anyway, I have been in a baking mood lately. So while I was watching my sister's kids on Saturday, I decided it was time to bake something with the kids. So I had all the ingredients to make Peanut Butter Cookies, So I started making these 15 ingredient cookies. But, While I was adding the ingredients together, the kids were fighting, so I broke it up and went back to adding the ingredients together, and popped them in the oven. I took them out after 10 minutes and let them cool, and then we snacked.
They tasted funny, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. My dad just thought they were overdone, so I took the next batch out earlier, Then my sister ate one, and she knew exactly what was wrong.
I LEFT OUT THE SUGAR!
(while I was breaking up the fight!)
So I ended up throwing the 50 cookies away. SAD DAY!
They Looked good though!

The Next project was making homemade Pretzels.
These actually turned out pretty good, Justin helped with those, Probably why they were good, LOL
Quite a process though.

Then the last of my baking, only took about 4 minutes to make and bake.
I made a microwave peanut butter cake. It was a little dry after a couple minutes, but was really good!!

Lots of baking and trying new things.
I feel like the future is so uncertain, but for the first time in my life, I am kind of excited with the uncertainty.

Pinterest Creations

So, lately I have been giving a whole bunch of pinterest ideas a try. Some succeeded, while most did not. LOL. I attempted to make strawberry fruit snacks, and failed. lol. I attempted to make a ruffle scarf, and I failed. lol. It was absolutely terrible. I am actually embarrassed how ugly it was. haha.

I finally made something from pinterest that was good. I made 4 loaves of Artisan Bread, that we downed in a day. Yum. And then today I made Potato Fries, They are pretty good.

So I cut almost all the way through, and then drizzled butter, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and salt over them.
I preheated the oven to 425, and baked them uncovered for an hour and 15 minutes. The thinner you cut them the less time they take in the oven. I just couldn't get them any thinner without cutting all the way through.

Yum!

Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning?

I will never forget where I was and how I felt.
I was still asleep that day, when I was awaken by my mom.
She explained to me what was going on, and my siblings and I stayed home from school.
We watched the news, and were in horror of the footage when the unthinkable happened.
Another plane hit the 2nd tower. All I could feel was the pain in my heart for the people inside the towers and their families. Everyday we will never forget about the tragic loss of everyone in the towers, the Pentagon and the heroic passengers of flight 93.

We often forget about the people who were not in the Towers. But they fought just as hard to be able to change their fates, or see their loved ones again. Please, Remember, and never forget the unnamed heroes!

My whole world is falling down
Nine one one, nine one one.
In smoke and debris our loved ones drown
Nine one one, we say.

Husbands, brothers, sons, and dads
Nine one one, nine one one,
Wives and sisters, daughters, moms,
All come to help that day.

Senseless deaths from hate and war,
Nine one one, nine one one,
In our homeland or yonder shore,
When will it go away?

Our children need us to be there,
Nine one, one, nine one, one,
To give them tender love and care
that drives their fears away.

~Unknown~

Even though its no longer standing, It brought American's together and still continues to do so.
We will always remember where we were and how we felt.
I pray that the families affected feel comfort throughout the years, and know we care.
I WILL NEVER FORGET!

Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?
Were you in the yard with your wife and children
Or working on some stage in L.A.?
Did you stand there in shock at the sight of that black smoke
Risin' against that blue sky?
Did you shout out in anger, in fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry?

Did you weep for the children who lost their dear loved ones
And pray for the ones who don't know?
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below?
Did you burst out with pride for the red, white and blue
And the heroes who died just doin' what they do?
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer
And look at yourself and what really matters?

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell
You the difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, hope and love are some good things He gave us
And the greatest is love

Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?
Were you teaching a class full of innocent children
Or driving down some cold interstate?
Did you feel guilty 'cause you're a survivor
In a crowded room did you feel alone?
Did you call up your mother and tell her you loved her?
Did you dust off that Bible at home?

Did you open your eyes, hope it never happened
Close your eyes and not go to sleep?
Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages
Or speak to some stranger on the street?
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow
Or go out and buy you a gun?
Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watchin'
And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns?

Did you go to a church and hold hands with some strangers
Did you stand in line and give your own blood?
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family
Thank God you had somebody to love?

And the greatest is love.
And the greatest is love.

Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?

hmm, nights alone.

Well, with Justin working all the time, I get bored really fast!
Luckily, my friend Chelsea, is always hanging with me.

So, last night we were watching a few episodes of Criminal Minds.
While we were watching the show, I got bored,
and started to stack the DVD cases like a deck of cards tower thing.

Here is how it started.

Then, that got tired, so I moved on to bigger!!
Decided to grab most of the DVD cases like this and build...

THIS!

I tried to make a angled roof, but I only succeeded for a couple seconds. So I had to settle with this.
Then, the hurricane force winds (a fan) came, and Godzilla (a barbie) knocked it down.

So, after that, Chelsea and I watched Hunger Games until 12:15am,
We got a little loopy, and spent about 20 minutes laughing and trying to pronounce the names of the cast and crew. Doesn't sound like fun, But it was very entertaining at midnight. lol.

I have to cheat to win! haha.

Chess is a really fun game. Who Knew Right?

Its Been An Interesting Week.

So, this last week has been interesting.
Monday, I got a job, I was so excited!!! It was the perfect job for me.
So, I went in to do some paperwork, and take a drug test.
Everything was going awesome. Then I realized I was squinting.
So we went into Lens Crafters, and I went in for an eye exam. Turns out I needed a little correction.
So I got the cutest glasses.

But, then the excitement went away pretty quick.
The job offer was terminated. Higher Management decided the position didn't need to be filled.
So, they offered me another interview for the next day. I still don't have an answer, for that position.
But, I am not holding my breath. I will find something eventually.

That same day, I found out my sister Alaris had to go to the ER.
I was so scared for her, She is pregnant, and she is my best friend!
I don't know what I would do without her. Its a pretty scary ordeal, especially for her.
I am so grateful that she is okay.

That wasn't it for this week, My sister's husband (same sister who was in the ER) was in a car accident, and totaled their car. But, my Brother In Law is okay. Just a little sore, Thank Heavens.

But this week has a happy ending, My Brother Kent and his wife, welcomed their 5th child, and 1st son.
I have a nephew. He is so cute. And Healthy.

And, Justin got me a Oregon Duck Pillow Pet!

I am extremely grateful, that my Sister and my Brother In Law, are still here with us.
This week could of had a completely different ending.
We are very blessed!

2nd Anniversary

Can't believe it has been 2 wonderful years already!!
2 years with the same goofy man I met 3 years ago!
Can't imagine life without him, can't remember, what life was like before!
Nor do I care to remember! Cause the day I met him, I knew life was complete!

2011
In the 2 years as a married couple, we have tried out new hobbies, and interests.
We Love The Utah Jazz. And playing sports!!
I am still trying to get Justin to play Board games with me!!
But, he is opening up to the idea!! Maybe by our 3rd anniversary, he will!! LOL

2012

We have been on Temple Square on the 18th of June, for the last 3 years.
Our Wedding Day, and Our 1st & 2nd Anniversaries.
I think we made it a tradition, to spend our anniversary, where we  made our covenants.

It takes a lot out of ya, to walk temple square and city creek!!

We had a nice quiet little anniversary.
My mom treated us to an amazing lunch at the Nauvoo Cafe, on Temple Square.
And then we went home, and watching movies and played video games!
Nothing like relaxing with the best husband in the world!!
Couldn't Ask For Anything Better!

Love You Justin, and I look forward to an Eternity to spend with you!!

Family Reunion

This past weekend, The Heath Family reunion was being held in Downey, Idaho. So Justin & I, decided to go. We had a lot of fun, getting to hang out with the family, and playing games, and watching movies.

We were really excited to finally take the Mazda for a decent drive!
We woke up Saturday morning, and packed the car, with our favorite snacks, games, and our tent.
Another 1st, we finally got to go camping, in our whole marriage, we have never gone,
so we were excited! So excited, we forgot extra blankets, and pillows!
It was SO COLD!

It was really nice to just hang out with my brothers and sisters, without all the fighting!

We brought the camera, but never used it, except on the drive up to Downey!

We had fun! Can't wait until 2014

End Of School Party!

My sister's daughter Morgan, has completed Kindergarten!!!
I can't believe how fast time flies!
So, my sister and a few other ladies in her neighborhood threw a party.
It was lots of fun,
Full of water fights, dunks in the dunk tank, and good food, and conversations.
Oh, And...
Chasing this little 3 year old.

Never realized how quick little kids can be!!
She was constantly running around!
I turned to talk to my sister, and turned back around seconds later, and this kid was GONE!
Scared us, SO BAD!!
Took us awhile to find her.
Turns out this kid, just walked into the neighbors house to cool off.
LOL

We had a lot of fun, after it got dark, They popped popcorn, passed out licorice strings, and set up a projector screen and we watched the movie RIO.
Kids loved it!
I wish we did stuff like this when I was their age!

Homemade Pizza

We made pizza for dinner tonight.
Very inexpensive and fun to make.
We decided on Hawaiian Style.
YUM!

Welcome To Our Garden!

Yesterday we spent all day, outside finishing the garden area at our house.
It was a chore, but we really like how it turned out!
Several hours of work went into weeding, planting and shopping!

I don't have a before picture of our garden, but just visualize, the next pic covered in weeds, ugly bushes and sticks, and grass.

Considering how it looked before, We are proud of our work we have done!
It's clean and it has pretty flowers in it! lol.

This is a picture of our Painted Daisies, and our new hanging solar light!
At night it looks like a crystal ball,
or like the bottom of a swimming pool on a bright sunny day!

Needless to say, we are happy with the way it turned out!

Hope you all enjoyed it!

Star Gazing!

Justin and I, love Spring time.
We spend a lot of time outside, instead of watching T.V.

Last night we laid a blanket down in our front yard, and decided to Star Gaze!
The first we saw was the big dipper!
And then the little dipper! We couldn't see anything else,
So we decided to get out the ENCYCLOPEDIA!

We spent an hour or so, looking through the book, and up to the sky.
Which also got us thinking, we would love to have a Telescope!
So maybe, one day we will!

It was nice to just lay outside, and see a clear sky full of stars!

Temple Square

We love visiting Temple Square, no matter how many times you visit Temple Square, there is always something new to see!

I especially love Temple Square during Spring!
Nothing better than a beautiful spiritual building, and TULIPS!

I never realized, the detailing on the doors to The Salt Lake Temple!
It is amazing to me, that all the decor, and detail that went into the Temple, was done over 100 years ago!

Next month marks our 2 year anniversary!
Amazing how time FLIES!
Every time we visit Temple Square, It reminds me of that day!
So I take pictures, for reminders, of the time since!

We never got close ups, of our rings on the door knobs!
So, this is a tradition, in my family on our wedding day!
And I have always wanted one, with my new ring!

If you haven't seen Temple Square, during the Spring, GO!

The Natural Beauty! Is Not To Be Missed!!
